You've probably heard most of your life that you should be excited to plan your wedding, if you haven't already been planning it since you were a child. When Scott and I got engaged, I was excited about getting married but I was really dreading the planning the wedding. It seemed so overwhelming, almost life-consuming, and just the thought of planning a wedding stressed me out! Thanks to WeddingWire.com's tools and Scott's help, I survived and realized I actually liked wedding planning.
By the time our wedding date rolled around, I had helped coordinate a few receptions at the venue but I was not a pro yet. There were so many lessons I learned from the things that went well and the things that didn't go quite as planned. The most important takeaway I got is that your wedding day is not the time to learn your wedding planning lessons the hard way. I wish some one had told me to talk to (or hire!) a wedding coordinator or planner from the beginning.
I've included a photo of one of my novice mistakes in this gallery. If you can spot it, you might not need a pro for your wedding day. Let me know in the comments if you've figured out what it is!
